E-votional - Being Pulled Out
March 26, 2002
Verse:

"Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

Luke 23:42 (NRSV)

Thought:

Surfing the internet for doors for my jeep, often times was surprised with some strange responses. One of them, without my knowing, pulled out my e-mail address and has now started to send me junk, Spam. Without really knowing how or even why me and my jeep door search resulted in something of this nature, my response is of surprise. Why me? Because I have potential. I could be a potential seller or buyer. If they knew me, they would know this was not true. But not knowing me, they chose me.

Hear the Good News, as Jesus journeyed to the cross he began to see and pull people out. He knew their heart and what it was they had to offer for the Kingdom. Though it may have only been a chance encounter, He wanted them to help in ministry. The thieves on the cross. He saw them both, knew their hearts and wanted to use them. One of them responded and has been instrumental in changing many lives. "If Jesus saved even the thief, then maybe, maybe he has a place for me." We are pulled in many directions, we are witness to many opportunities. Make the most of the ones offered, the ones which will make a difference in the lives of others.

Prayer:

Gracious God, You place before me opportunities, chances to change lives. Allow me to respond to You faithfully, aware of the grace imparted to me, that I might share it with others. Christ went to the cross that I might live. By him I have an experience of grace that is beyond my comprehension. Thank You. Let others be able to comprehend my love for them and Your love for them. Thank You for all that You have done in my life and all You will continue to do, for ask this through Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
