Verse:

"They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them."

John 14:21 (NRSV)

Thought:

Dreams, we all have them. They enter our mind or experience based on something else. Movies, games, experiences, eating late or even eating chocolate before bed. Then, as we are entering REM sleep, it is though our mind pieces together various floating thoughts together and forms a story. Good dream, nightmare, regardless of what the dream is classified, it is a mental projection of our thoughts. This is a dream, but there are other types of dreams.

Hear the Good News, the Holy Spirit places within our heart a dream, a dream of ministry, a dream of vocation, a dream of how we are to live out our faith. As approach graduation for seniors in high school and college, they both wrestle with their dreams. Who am I to be? What am I to do? As we embrace our faith, we too are face to face with these same questions. And just as these who face a new future after closure of High School or College, we face a new life and new dream to be lived out as a reality. Always remembering the dream is a projection of what is not necessarily reality, it is our task to turn our dream given to us by the holy spirit, our dream of faith, into a reality. What is it you will do when God reveals Himself to you?

Prayer:

Gracious God, open my eyes that I may see the beauty and reality of Your grace and mercy. And as You reveal Yourself to me, help me to turn the dream You place in my heart into a reality. Thank You for all that You have done in my life and all You will continue to do, for ask this through Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
