Verse:

"The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of a teacher, that I may know how to sustain the weary with a word. Morning by morning he wakens-- wakens my ear to listen as those who are taught."

Isaiah 50:4 (NRSV)

Thought:

He was different. His approach, well I would call it effective, but not something for the School District Board. Mr. Comer encouraged thinking and reading, for both the sake of reading and thinking. There was an air of excitement when we went to the class, because not only did he speak, but he listened to our thoughts. He was a teacher.

Hear the Good News, God as a Creator gives to people gifts. These gifts are not mediocre, they are of premium ability and value. Isaiah, he was given the gift to make a difference in the lives of others for God. We are all called to be a difference maker, a creator of sorts through the gift(s) that God has given to us. We are to seek an understanding of our gifts(s) and do something with the gift. We remain faithful to God, and the rest of the world be using this gift. Seek it out. Use it.

Prayer:

Gracious God, You are a Creator. You instill within us the ability to make a difference in lives. Empower me to not only find my gift, but to use it to Your glory. I would like to make a difference in the world, and through You I know it is possible. Thank You for all that You have done in my life and all You will continue to do, for ask this through Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
