E-votional –  Here I am Lord!
March 5, 2001
Verse:
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord . . .[and] I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go?' And I said 'here I am, send me.' "

-- Isaiah 6:1,7

Thought:
The vision was shocking, being in the presence of God, humbling.  Isaiah stood there, wondering what would possibly happen next, and to his amazement, God wanted him.  The dialogue "who will go" was met with "here I am."
Hear the Good News, when God calls to us, He wants us to acknowledge His presence and respond in Faith.  Now Isaiah's experience was powerful and transforming, for he saw God in His glory.  Isaiah responded to God's call upon his life.  When we see God's activity in the world and in our own life, do you listen for a call that might accompany it?  Then, if you heard the call, how might you respond?

Prayer:
Lord, You humble me with Your presence.  When I see the way You work in my life, and in the world, I have hope.  I have hope that you will use what ever little bit I have to offer as well as others in the world.  Here I am Lord, I am Yours.  Thank You for all You have done in my life, and all You will continue to do, through Christ our Lord I pray.  Amen.
