Thought:
New age, karma, hocus pocus. During
Christmas time, many participate in gift exchanges. You pick the
package you think might have the best present. And, because the
gift is usually wrapped, your decision is based not on truth, but appearance
and superficial reasoning.
Hear
the Good News, life is more than guess work. We are offered the truth,
the answers of life through the Good News of Christ. When looking for
answers to life, especially in the midst of anxiety and or a sense of hopelessness,
we tend to grab anything that looks or feels like it might lead to success. Yet,
the Gospel of Jesus Christ is unwrapped and there for you and me. The
look and feel of the Gospel might be different from person to person, but
the underlying truth is the same for each of us. Christ has offered to
us life and life filled with abundance
Gracious
Father, why must we look for the truth
in the empty creations of Man? You have
offered
to us Christ, a living and very real
answer to life. Not only is Jesus a man of history, but He is in our
present, in our presence. Let us search
out His truth for life and turn from the empty.
Thank you Father, for all You have
done and all You will continue to do in my life. Amen.
