Thought:
Being
scared, that is normal. Having fears, part of growing up.
Wanting to feel safe and secure, well, Casey is approaching that point in
her own development. Fear, is both natural and learned. Courage
on the other hand, is something that not all people have. Courage is
about standing up and facing the fear(s) that might be in from of us.
Hear the Good News, though
we can and will face many fears throughout our life, we can find assurance
that the presence of the Holy Spirit and the experience of Christ in
our life not only gives us needed courage, but strength to stand as well.
Prayer:
Lord,
as long as I have tried to stand alone, and "create" bravery for
myself, I have found it does not really work. Yet as You have
been with me, it has been You who has strengthened me. Help me to
remember to lean You and to have faith that You are not going to leave me
alone. Thank You for all You have done
in my life, and all You will continue to do, through Christ our Lord I pray.
