Verse:

"In your anger do not sin":  Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
- Ephesians 4:26-27 (NIV)

Thought:
Communication.  The blessing and the bane of our interaction with one another.  Two people looking for the same love, the same hope and the same dreams, can, through the art or mystery of communication end up so angry and or hurt that the result is a rift that grows exponentially.  About ten years ago, I was in a covenant group where the heart of this passage what one of our "ten commandments".  We were not supposed to go to sleep for the evening until we began to work on the point of conflict.  As hard as it was, and as long as it meant we would be awake, it not only served it's purpose, but created a foundation in all of our lives.
Hear the Good News, forgiveness and reconciliation is something we all seek, but even more importantly, it is something offered to us each day of our life.  Through the example of and sacrifice Christ, we have the greatest forgiveness and reconciliation imaginable.  If we can be forgiven of those thing that create a barrier between us and God, shouldn't we also seek to reconcile and forgive our brothers and sisters?  Anger, it is a powerful thing, it can cause us to lose control, say and do things we will regret, but love, love allows us to do things that can change the world forever.  All this, one person, one communication at a time.

Prayer:
Gracious Father, forgiven as we are, help me to forgive and to move on.  Reconciliation is not only important, but powerful.  Allow me to use this gift to not only change my life, but the lives of those around me.  Thank you Father, for all You have done and all You will continue to do in my life.  Amen.
