Verse:
“Let
me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Thought:
There
we lay, feeling the soft sheets on our legs, the pillow that surrounds our
head. The sun creeps into the
bedroom through the window. Our mind, fresh, renewed to begin a new
day. Any list of "to do items" is the last thing that enters
our mind. We have awaken form our slumber, ready to begin an new day.
We awake with someone already thinking about us.
Hear the Good News, God waits
for you, each morning to stat your day with Him. He so wants to be a
guide for you in the morning, to straighten your paths, to lead you to
quiet streams of faith. The Psalmist has it right when he turns to God
for direction in his day. Allow God to lead you and He will not forget
or forsake you.
Prayer:
Each
day we wake up, and each day, You wait for us. Why we forget about
you, but try to remember tedious tasks, I don't understand, but I want to
have You be the foundational focus of each day. Patiently You
wait for us, and ever so patiently
You guide us. Let
today, and the days that follow, begin
with you. Thank
You for all You have done in my
life, and all You will continue to do, through Christ our Lord I pray.
