The Fingerprint!

VERSE:

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.  Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

THOUGHT:

Only God is holy, and people are human.  To call something Holy is to say that God's mark is upon it.  Times, places and even people can all be holy, but that is usually due to a window in time being opened and visible.  I've been to holy sites throughout Israel(Holy Sepulcher), been in wonderfully moving worship services(Peace Chapel), and have witnessed people during some of their holy moments(tears).  One very Holy Place to me is a plateau in the Ft. Davis Mountains.  There are no stairs for access, no signs for getting there, just the wind blowing through your hair, whistling by your ears and the sun warming even your soul.  No animals, though there was one small tree.  You could see 360° with mountains on one side and a range on the other.  Nothing made this a holy place, but everything was God's fingerprint, it all had God's mark upon.

Hear the Good News, you have God's mark upon you.  Blow through someone's hair, whistle by their ear, warm their very soul with your smile, your love.  Show God's fingerprint upon your life.  Be Holy.

 PRAYER:

Father, forgive me for bottling up your presence in my life.  Help me to share it with all.  Use your Spirit to kindle in me a passion for holiness and please empower me to live in a way which honors you for all that you have done to save me.  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
