VERSE:

In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

THOUGHT:

About 4 years ago, I enrolled in one of those time management classes. They taught quite a few principles that have stuck with me. One of the most important lessons, was actually a reminder of something taught by our Teacher. That was first things first.

Hear the Good News, God is waiting to hear from you each and everyday. God wants to be an active part of your life. It takes two, therefore it is now your move, God is waiting.

Can you remember the times in your life when you were just waiting for your mom or dad to wake up? maybe it was Christmas Eve. Maybe it was Saturday morning. There you were, ready to start the day, but you needed to wait on them. God is ready to start the day, with you!

Okay you say, "I can do that, but I don't know how", or maybe you just don't know what that means. Well, rest assured, all prayer is is a heart to heart with someone you love. Maybe it is a smile, a tear, or even laughter. Prayer is when you lift up a part of your life to God and say here you go, what do you think. It is important to know and understand that prayer is more than one sided. You offer, and God responds. You also need to realize there are many times in which God offers and it is your turn to respond. Prayer is about thanks, love, care, answers, questions about you and Him.

One of my all time favorite prayers is a prayer I found during a confusing time in my life, and I share it with you, http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?John+17:1-26.

PRAYER:

God, thank You for giving me part of each day to share a part of me with You. Thank You for sharing a part of Your day with me. Help me to value this time, this experience and to use it to better understand myself and You. Strengthen me to share all of me with You, as true lovers should and do, for I do love You. Thank you, in Jesus' name.

Amen.
