VERSE:

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

THOUGHT:

Motivations, it seems, speak volumes to who we are and what we are about. I am very fortunate to be in a place where regardless of how the day has gone thus far, we share laughs over trivial things, laugh at our own blunders and never take our own being too seriously. WYSIWYG. Being here is a blessing.

Hear the Good News, we have such a great relationship with God, offered to us through Christ, that we should want to seek out times to talk with Him. Our relationship is not based on what others may think about us, or God, but rather the way we interact with God. WYSIWYG. When you experience God, you will seek Him out for you, and for God. The passage above is telling us a simple bit of advice, don't have a relationship because people are watching you. Don't try to impress others with your piety, rather be pious out of God's call upon your life. Be in relationship with the one who calls you His own because He calls you His own.

PRAYER:

Father, thank You for the incredible gift of Your Love in my life. You have called me Your own and touched my life. You listen to the words that fall from my lips and the passions and hopes in my heart. Thank you for Your closeness and peace. Please forgive me when I forget to set apart of my day for You, when I fail to share my life with You. Help me to call upon You and share my life with You more. Help me to live the life You would have me live. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
