VERSE:

"Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul."

-- Job 7:11

THOUGHT:

There he was, he stood up looked to the heavens and SCREAMED out to God. My life is worthless. I curse the day I was born, in fact, take the day off of the calendar altogether. Not only was he having a bad time with it, but his wife, she suggested that he go ahead and curse God and hang himself. Not only a bad day, but a time in his life. What did he do, he had a heart to heart with God.

Hear the Good News, no matter what is going on in our life, we can and should talk with God about it. Not only do I offer praise to God, but I cry out to God when things are going poorly or bad. Sometimes we think God as being too fragile, too distant, or too brooding to speak with him honestly about our dilemmas, yet we offer the good to Him. No matter what is going on, and this, Job reminds us, we need to keep open communications with Him, we need to continue to develop our relationship with Him. God will be there in our midst. God does minister to our truest needs, our hurts, our frustrations and anxieties, not just the simple whims in life.

PRAYER:

Father, I thank You the relationship I have with You. I especially thank You for listening to my life, my heart and my soul. Keep me strong in my faith. Help me to continue to develop my relationship with You. Most of all keep me real and keep me honest and open as I come to You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
