VERSE:
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities -- his eternal power and divine nature -- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

THOUGHT:
Prove to me God is real!  I've heard that one before.  Prove to me there is no God, I've heard that one too.  This is such an interesting point.  Let me cut to the chase.  Take a second today, walk out side.  This can be one of those secret missions, especially in the corporate world, where you may have to do this with an element of stealth!  Anyway, walk outside today.  If you are in the Houston area, it is a glorious day.  Right now, I look outside my window I am watching the leaves dance around in our flower beds and parking lot.  This morning as I returned from the Gym, I sat on my porch and read the Chronicle.  The sun was beaming down with warmth and an unsurpassable brightness.  Walking to work from the house, the wind blew through my hair, squirrels scurried up the telephone pole.  Those little birds in our bushes tried to hide deeper in the bushes.  The end result of the surroundings, today brought a sense of peace and joy.  So much so, that if possible, I would move my desk outside and work there today.  In fact, I think today I will have a picnic.
I digress.  Normally I would say "hear the Good News."  Today I say we are surrounded by the Good News.  Days One through Day Six, God saw that all he had done was Good.  Look and see how things grow.  How people, like the squirrels, scurry around.  We are touched by this power of creation and His nature, by our very creation.  We are given, perhaps, the second greatest gift, the gift of free will, because of the divine nature of God.  The greatest gift being Jesus, The Christ.  So go outside, experience an element of God's creation.  If this is not possible, then be bedazzled by our ability to read this and be moved by the simple imagery of what is outside, awaiting us.

PRAYER:
O LORD, Almighty God, your works of creation bedazzle me with your incredible sense of majesty, grace, wonder, awe, and beauty.  Thank you for making your fingerprints so clearly seen in our incredible world.  In Jesus' name I praise. Amen.
