VERSE:

I can do everything through him who gives me strength. -- Philippians 4:13

THOUGHT:

Strength is something that allows you to accomplish. Watching an ant lift and carry things twice it's own size is amazing. It seems we all want to do more than we might be able to. Maybe it is about surpassing our limitations. But what if we seem to know we are able to do more, but just don't seem to have that extra j'ne sais pas.  Going to the gym, I am surrounded by folks that want to surpass what they are able to do just by being. It seems they want more. They want to be stronger, faster, leaner, lighter, or whatever. There they are, sweating, aching, thinking they might just die. All this because they want to be able to do something more.

Hear the Good News, God gives you, and me, that little something extra your heart that says you can do more, and that you will do more. There is only one catch, you have to believe. Paul believed this. It's your turn. Watch as everything begins to open as you allow God to direct you and give you strength to do all things.

PRAYER:

O God, without You I could do very little. I would grow weary and fade down the stretch without Your help. Thank You for lifting me up as I have stumbled or fallen. Keep me firm so I might be able to do all You have in store for me. Thank you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
