Verse:

"then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being."

Genesis 2:7 (NRSV)

Thought:

When your air way is blocked or compromised, breathing is difficult. There are only a couple of options at your disposal. Depending on what it is that is responsible for the blockage, that best solution is to remove the thing blocking that air. Another solution is to bring in air in a different manner. The bottom line is we need the air, we need to find and adopt a solution to the air/breathing problem. Breathing is as important as it is to have our life focused on Christ.

Not only is Christ our breath of air, but He also helps to keep the breathing passage open, that we might have Him abundantly. Years ago, playing football, I had my nose shattered. Immediately after the accident, knowing how rough I am on my body, along with my desire not to have my nose packed, I chose not to have anything done in a corrective way. And over the years, I come to live with the limited nasal airway. But today it is a different day. Today I have come to realize breathing should be easier and without as much trouble. Gone is the day I just get by with my breathing. When it will be fixed is still unknown, but turning the corner, I have realized breathing should not be so much of an effort. When we focus our life on Christ the breathing is easier. That is not to say it does not require effort, only that there is a new found peace. Make the move. from me.

Please keep my sister in your prayers as she undergoes test to identify and unconfirmed neurological illness. Her name is Michelle.

Prayer:

Gracious God, let every breath I breathe be in You. Fill my lungs and my heart with Your presence, That I can then share it with others. Inspire me to turn back to You with all that I am. Be with Michelle and her family, that they know, without a doubt, of Your presence and power. Thank You for all that You have done in my life and all You will continue to do, for ask this through Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
