VERSE:

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ...

THOUGHT:

When we think of peace, most of us think of times when there is no war, or at least any major wars going on around the world. Further, we tend to think of peace being the absence of conflict. But in Hebrew, the word peace is shalom. Shalom means fullness, having everything you need to be wholly and happy with yourself.

One of the titles we have for Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He came and what he has left is Peace (John 14:27). http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?John+14:27.

Hear the Good News, because of our faith, your faith, you have a right, full and whole relationship with God, through Jesus. This right and full relationship is characterized not by an absence of conflict within you, but by the presence of love which can only come from God.

PRAYER:

Thank You. Creator, Dad, God, You have reached out and changed my life. You have made me whole. It is by Your loving presence that I have found what it means to love. Help me to share Your good news with all. In Jesus' name I offer my thanks and praise. Amen.
